Pyle re-drawn in pencils for inking (1)

In my SeqA materials and techniques class, we’ve been given this assignment to draw these Howard Pyle painting in pencils. Anything with an ‘X’ on it or lightly colored in will end up becoming black, since these are pencils in preparation for inking. That’s why I had to do the crazy texture in the bg to get a greytone- since there is no grey in inks. And of course, the blue won’t show in the final inks either.

If you’re wondering- it’s labeled one since I had to do two drawings, I’ll post that one another day.
